Louie V. Traffansted

Louie V. Traffansted, 87, of Mountain City, Georiga., died Monday October 5, 2015 in Mountain View Heralth Care in Clayton, Georgia.

Born in Sand Mountain, Alabama., he was the son of the late Ollie and Ester Mae Miller Traffansted. He was retired from the textile industry and a U.S, Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the VFW and was of the Baptist Faith.

He was the widower of Mamie Owenby Traffansted. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a daughter, Dorothy Gragg and two sisters, Clarabell Burns and Lorrine Black, and is survived by one son, Lamar Traffansted of Sand Mtn. Alamba. Three half-sisters, Riney Gribble, Beatrice Gribble and Frances Marcus, all of Dalton, GA. Two grandchildren, Scott Young (Donna) and Tami Crump, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The body has been cremated; no service planned at this time, Burial will be in Dalton, GA., at a later time. The family is at their respective residences
