Lucy Elizabeth Speed

Lucy Elizabeth Speed 93, of Dillard, GA passed away on Monday December 28, 2020 at Mountain View Health Care in Clayton, GA.

Born September 13, 1927 in Rabun County, GA she was the daughter of the late Jonah Speed and Savannah Chappell Speed. She lived her life in Rabun County and spent her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church.

She was the last member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death was her parents, Jonah and Savannah Speed, a sister Sarah Belle Speed McKay and two brothers, William Fretwell Speed and Henry Lee Speed. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church cemetery for a graveside service on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1:00pm with Rev. Thomas Burrell officiating.

The family is at their respective residences.
