Mamie Llewellyn Thompson, age 79, of Ball Ground, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Marty Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday on 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, but most of all she loved spending time and taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lee Thompson; son, Richard Lee Thompson; granddaughter, Courtney Reece; and brother, Robert Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Amy Reece; son, Daniel Thompson (Melissa); grandchildren, Erin Reece, Haley Reece, Kris Thompson, Emily Thompson and Melanie Thompson; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosia Lee Page, Hazel Talley, Reba Towe, Alice Tallent, Bonnie Ammons and Sue Wilkerson; brothers, Cecil Smith, Jim Smith and Tim Smith; as well as a nieces, nephews and many friends.
