Margaret Elizabeth Moran Knop

Margaret Elizabeth Moran Knop, 85, of Franklin, NC, passed into glory on June 8, 2026, at Highlands-Cashiers Hospital.

Born on June 14, 1940, to the late Esther Ives Moran and James P. Moran in Meriden, Connecticut.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James I. Moran of Meriden, and her sister, Donna Yale, also of Meriden.

Surviving are her children, Andrew Knop and wife Heidi of Boynton Beach, Florida; Susan Winters and her husband Dale of Lake Worth, Florida; and Daniel Knop and wife Traci of Franklin, NC; grandchildren Amber Oliver of Montgomery, Texas, Kyle Knop of Atlanta, Georgia, and Alison Knop of Franklin; brother Harvey Moran of Clinton, Connecticut; and sister Joan Kocsis of Newnan, Georgia, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
