Margaret Merle Kilby

Merle Brown Kilby, age 78, of Rabun Gap, Georgia, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at her home in Rabun Gap, Georgia.

Merle was born March 03, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Ransom and Pearle Brown. She was married to her husband for over 60 years, Jerry Kilby who passed away on January 6, 2019. She was a faithful member of The Flats of Middle Creek Baptist Church for over 64 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother.

She is survived by three sons, Brian Kilby (Pam), Kenny Kilby (Shelia), and Mack Kilby (Tammy); eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Milton Brown (Mary) of Rabun Gap; and one sister, Joann Williams (Lloyd) of Dillard.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023, 11:00 AM at The Flats of Middle Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Nix and Rev. Marty Kilby officiating. Burial will follow at The Flats of Middle Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Scaly Mountain, NC.
