Martha Anne Carpenter

Our sweet precious daughter Martha Anne Carpenter went to be with Jesus on Monday, September the 14th in the year of our LORD 2026.

To be around Martha was to love her. She was a loving sister, aunt, and cherished member of her family. Martha’s family was very important to her, and she especially enjoyed being a great aunt to all of her “babies.”

Martha is survived by her mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Dan Mitzlaff; sisters, Dorothy Hill of Melbourne, Florida, and Tammy Hamilton of Brandon, Mississippi; and her stepbrother, Mark Mitzlaff of Corona, California.

She was a beloved aunt to Ashley Ownbey, Elaina Hooker, Chris Hill, Daniel Hill, Jonathan Hill, Matthew Carpenter, and Kaleb Carpenter.

Martha enjoyed watching The Price Is Right, reading her Bibles and cookbooks, and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank all of their family, friends and caregivers who loved and cared for Martha throughout her life.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. John Hill officiating. Burial will follow at the Watkins Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hunter Funeral Home.
