Mary Lovell

ary Holcomb Lovell, 96, of Joe Jones Lane, Wiley, GA, died Thursday April 11, 2019 at Mtn. View Healthcare Center in Clayton GA. 

Born June 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Maggie Hollifield Holcomb and was the widow of Frank W. Lovell. 

She attended the Lake Burton High School in the Bridge Creek Community. She was employed by the Claiborne Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Wiley Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Lovell, her parents, Jeff and Maggie Holcomb, by a daughter Caroline Carpenter and a son, Frank Lovell, Jr. Also preceding her in death were four sisters, twin sister, Rose Shirley, Grace Worley, Gladys Queen and  Ruth Holcomb, six brothers, Gordon Holcomb, Herbert “Hub” Holcomb, Roy Holcomb, Hugh Holcomb, J.D. Holcomb and Guy Holcomb. She is survived by two sons, Charles Lovell of Clayton and Norman Lovell of Wiley, GA., two daughters, Cathy Franklin of Fort Walton Beach, FL. Diane Vanderhorst and her husband, Brett, of Wiley, GA. Eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren also survive. 

Funeral services will be Monday April 15, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Burrell officiating. Burial will follow at Rabun Memory Park in Tiger, GA.
The body is at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be Sunday April 14, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The family is at their respective residences but the home is open.
