Mattie Mae Chappell, 98, of Clayton died Friday June 8, 2018 at Mountainview Health Care in Clayton. GA.

Born in Dillard, GA., April 12, 1920 She was the daughter of the late William B. (Bill) Chappell and Josie Speed. She worked in the Textile industry for Clayburne MFG. Company and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Gene Chappell (Joan) of Clayton, GA., one granddaughter, Becky (Jeffery) Lovell of Tiger, GA., one Great grand daughter, Tasha Hembree of Seneca South Carolina., and three great great grandchildren, Chase, T.J. and Athena., One sister, Lucy Speed of Clayton.

Funeral Services will be Monday June 11, 2018 2:00 P.M. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Rabun Memory Park Tiger, Georgia.

The family will receive friends Monday June 11, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church from 12 noon to 2 P.M. (the service hour). The family is at their respective Residences and asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory to Pruitt Health Hospice 700 S. Enota Drive NE. Suite 202 Gainesville, GA. 30501. or Gideon’s International P.O. Box 241 Clayton, GA. 30525
