Nancy Webb

Nancy E. Webb, 93, of Mountain Rest, South Carolina and Clayton, Georgia died Monday, July 20, 2015 at her home in Mtn. Rest, SC.

Born in Oconee County, SC. January 17, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Swafford and Frances Moore Swafford. She was the widow of Edmond P. Webb. She was the last member of her immediate Family. She was a retired seamstress in the Claburne MFG. Company and was a homemaker and was a member of the Blue Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Webb was preceded in death, besides her husband, two sons, Roger Webb and Ricky Webb, by four daughters, Gladys Cobb, Dorothy Bleckley, Betty Lou Webb and Shelby Jean Webb and by four brothers, Bert Swafford, Jeff Swafford, John Ed Swafford and J.A. Swafford and two sisters, Mary (SIS) Swafford and Connie Swafford. Mrs. Webb is survived by four sons, Jimmy Webb, Harold Webb, Danny Webb and Doug Webb. By three daughters, Barbara Harris, Teresa Singleton and Vicki Hamel, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren, and special friend and caregiver Stefanie Rogers also survive.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday July 22, 2015 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home at 3:30 P.M. with Layman Lloyd Hunter and Rev. Jewell Gaines officiating. Burial will be in the Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Long Creek, SC.

The body is at Hunter Funeral home where visitation will be Tuesday Night July 21, 2015 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Shirley Webb on Turpin Street in Tiger, Georgia.
