Randall Phillip James

Randall “Randy” Phillip James, 64, of Clayton, GA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

Born on August 20, 1959, to Lloyd H. James and Carolyn Brewer James. He was married to his wife of 37 years Jane Carpenter James. 

Randy was an electrician by trade, but this outdoors was a special part of his life, including taking his nephews fishing, nieces coon hunting and grandchildren swimming. 

Overall family was the most important part of Randy’s life, and he will be cherished as a loving son, father “poppy”, brother, uncle and friend. 

In addition to his wife Jane Carpenter James, Randy is survived by two children, Adam James (Melodie), and Cecil Fountain; grandchildren, Thomas, Ryan and Lynzee Fountain and Shalayleigh, Abigayl, Shamus and Teagan James; his mother, Carolyn Brewer James; brothers, Lloyd “Spud” Terrell James, and Dexter James (Patricia); sister, Marian Thompson (Scott) and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. 

Preceding him in death was his father, Lloyd H. James, brother Timothy “Bo” James, and granddaughter Angel D. Fountain.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 9^th, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Blue Heights Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Watkins Family Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 8^th at Hunter Funeral Home.
