Regina Burnette Brown, 84, Clayton, Georgia.


Regina Burnette Brown, 84, of Brooks Lane, Rabun Gap, Georgia., died Wednesday August 3, 2011 at her residence.
She was the widow of Ed Brown. Born in Macon County, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Callie Vinson Burnette. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and for many years, she was employed in the textile indrustry. She was a member of the Mountain City Church of God. She had been a member of the Church of God for over 70 years . She and her husband, Ed and Harry and Geraldine Brown, served the Lord in churches over the land and at funerals for many years.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; Otis Burnette and Tut Burnette and by one sister, Valera Talley, and is survived by one son Duane Edward Brown of the home and daughter-in-law, Eulene Brown of Rabun Gap, GA., two grandchildren and their spouses; Jason and Johnnie Brown, and Dulene and David Jones also four great grandchildren; Ryan and Noah Brown and Brooke and Brent Jones. Several nephews nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 6, 2011 at the Mountain City Church of God with Rev. Wren Worley and Rev. Dwight Loggins officating. Norman Dryman will conduct the graveside service. Burial will be in the Scaly Mountain Methodist Cemetery at Scaly Mountain, North Carolina.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 TO 9 P.M. Friday night August 5, 2011.
The family is at the home on Brooks Lane, Rabun Gap, Georgia.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory, to Hunter Funeral Home, P.O. Box 653 Clayton, Georgia. 30525, to aid the family in funeral expenses.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
