Richard Allen Shirley

Richard Allen "Ricky" Shirley, 63, of Tiger, GA passed away on June 2, 2023.

Richard was born on May 1, 1960, to the late Jesse and Jean (Hipps) Shirley. He was married to Michelle Shirley. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for Fruit of the Loom and for Mountain Glass. Riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle was his biggest joy in life, and just days before his passing he was able to spend all day riding around the mountains.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Diane Cosey of Perry, GA; Tater, who was his best friend and was like a brother; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special nephew, Josh Porter and his wife Shannon.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jesse Thomas Shirley.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Dale Littrell officiating.
