Roba Imogene Keener

Roba Imogene Keener, age 97, of Rabun Gap, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

She was born on March 28, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Ralph Totherow and Floy Neal Totherow. She was married to Bruce Keener who passed away in 2015.

Roba was a lifetime member of Wolffork Baptist Church. She was faithful to lend a hand at church whether it was assisting in children’s church or cooking a meal for a church member in need. She was a very giving person and loved to help anyway she could in the community.

She was survived by two sons, Danny Keener (Karen) of Lovettsville, VA, and Randy Keener of Rabun Gap, GA; six grandchildren, Kevin Keener (Christine), Courtney Keener, Ashley Keener, Brittnay Gragg (Austin), William Keener and Emily Silverman (Elliott); four great-grandchildren, Rylee Johnson, Bennett Smith, Della Gragg and Keener Silverman, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband Bruce Keener, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin and Charles Totherow, and two sisters, Pauline Payne and Elde Davis.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11:00 am at Wolffork Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Barker officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Hunter Funeral Home.
