Robert Wilson

Robert Lee Wilson, 80 , of Tiger, Ga. died Tuesday July 12 , 2016 at his home in Tiger. Born Sept 1, 1935. He was the son of the late Fred A. Wilson and Zoie Watts Wilson.

He was the husband of Alice Watts Wilson of Tiger.

Robert was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Rickman Construction Company and was Instrumental in the Development of Kingwood and Sky Valley , operating the first bulldozer in both places. He was a Korean War Veteran , a member of the Coon Hunters Club and was a member of the Clayton Church of God.

Robert was preceded in death by two brothers , Paul Wilson and James Wilson and by two sisters , Florence Holcomb and Susie Free and two daughters , Donna Marie and Cheryl Anne , and is survived by his wife Alice Watts Wilson of the Home , one son , Danny Wilson of Tiger, Ga. , two daughters , Pam Watts (Terry) Clarkesville , Ga. , Rita Dixon (Bobby) Clayton,Ga. , two sisters , Mae Moon , of Athens, Ga. , Glenda Hefner (Ed) of Mt. Airy, Ga., one brother – in – law , Harvey Free , of Tiger, Ga. five grandchildren , Tivris Dixon , Jordan Dixon , Daniel Wilson , Whitney Smith , and Maci Watts. Two great grandchildren , Coleman Dixon and Cord Dixon. Several nephews , nieces and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be Thursday July 14 , 2016 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Madison McCrackin officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday July 13 , 2016. The family is at the home in Tiger, Ga.
