Roy Conner

Roy Martin Conner, 50, of Rabun Gap, Georgia, affectionaly known as “Marty” died Saturday January 26, 2013 at his residence.

He was born in Franklin, North Carolina May 24, 1962 to Clifford E. Conner and Carolyn Darnell Conner. He was a Chef and a member of Newman Chapel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Darnell Conner Hicks and a brother Bobby Edwin Conner (Bird) and is survived by his father and step mother, Clifford and Margie Conner of Clayton. Two brothers, Harvey Conner and his wife Susan of Otto, NC, and Robbie Conner of Rabun, Gap. Two nieces, Kate and Anna Conner: Two nephews, Evan Conner and Jonathan York and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday January 30, 2013 at the Wolffork Christian Fellowship Church, conducted by Rev. Ray Conner and Rev. Roy Conner. Visitation at the Church from 4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. (The Service Hour). The family is at their respective residences.
