Ruth Speed

Ruth Murray Speed, 86, of Warwoman road, Clayton, Georgia., died Thursday February 7, 2013 at her residence.

She was born November 26, 1926 in Habersham County, Georgia., to John Harvey Murray and Connice Ramey Murray. She was twice married, first to the late Hilton James and later to Marlor Speed, Jr., who survives. Mrs. Was retired from Empire MFG. Company in the textile industry and was a homemaker. She was Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by three; sisters Flora Mae Franklin, Rosalyn Church and Gertrude Murray and two brothers, Carl Murray and James Murray and is survived by her husband, Marlor Speed, Jr. of the home, , One son and daughter in-law David Allen James and his wife Doris of Toccoa, Georgia. one sister, Dorothy James of Anderson, SC. and by several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Graveside Services will be at 4:00 P.M. Friday February 8, 2013 at Rabun Memory Park, T5iger, Georgia., conducted by Layman Lloyd Hunter. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M TO 3:30 P.M. The family is at the home on Warwoman Road, Clayton, Georgia.
