Sedonia "Dony" Alberta Jones

Sedonia “Dony” Alberta Jones, age 55, of Clayton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 3, 1970, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Beverly Phillips Jones and the late Raymond Earl Jones.

Sedonia was a free spirit with a creative soul and a deep love for life. A gifted artist, she found great joy in drawing and expressing herself through her artwork. She especially loved Marvel movies and was an exceptional comic artist whose talent and imagination shined through in every piece she created.

She had a special love for animals and enjoyed spending time outdoors, often watching birds and taking in the beauty of nature. Music and dancing brought her happiness, and she treasured every opportunity to laugh, celebrate, and make memories with those she loved. Above all, Sedonia loved life and cherished the time she spent surrounded by her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Beverly Phillips Jones; her siblings, Beverly Jones, Dawn Smith, Samuel Jones, and Nyoka Jones; and her nieces and nephews, Ashley Jones, Beven Jones, Raphael Jones, Ozzy Jones, and Sabrina Smith.

In addition to her father, Raymond, she was preceded by one brother, Elchico Jones.
