Shirley Galloway

July 20, 1936 — December 28, 2014

Shirley M. Kilby Galloway, 78, of the Warwoman Community, Clayton, Georgia., died Sunday December 28, 2014 at Mountain View Health Care.

Born in Rabun County, July 20, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Mae Justus Kilby. She was the wife of Lawton Galloway. Shirley was retired from the textile industry and was a homemaker and a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church. She loved music and good singing.

She was preceded in death besides her parents, by a sister, Jean Cutty and by two brothers, Richard Kilby and Michael Kilby and is survived by her husband, Lawton Galloway of the home. Three daughters, Shirl Gaberels and Skeet Hollifield both of Clayton and Valerie Loudermilk of Demorest, GA. One brother, Samuel Kilby of Waterford, Michigan. Two sisters, Marty Wilson of Clayton and Bobbie Koop of Michigan. Five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The body has been cremated and a singing celebration will be at Battle Branch Baptist Church Friday January 2, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. conducted by Pastor Madison McCrackin. Visitation will be at the church from1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. (The Celebration Hour). The family is at the home on Galloway Hill Lane on Warwoman.
