Steve Welch, 54, of Black Mountain Road, Toccoa, Georgia., formerly of Mountain City died Tuesday June 19, 2012 at his home in Toccoa, Georgia.
Born February 14, 1958 in Mountain City, he was the son of the late Lon J. Welch,. and Thelma Holbrook Welch. He was an auto collision repairman with Welch’s Classic Customizing. He was a member of Free Spirit Gospel Ministry and was a member of Carvers Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Lou Walker.
And is survived by his wife, Elaine Mize Welch of the home. One son, Steven Harold Welch II; of Toccoa. GA., four daughters, Nicole Rice of Toccoa, Stephany Welch and Misty Welch, both of MT. City, Georgia; Greta Shackleford of Eastanollee, GA., One brother, Bruce Welch of MT. City, GA. One sister, Vonnie Gay of Mt. City, GA., eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM. Friday June 22, 2012 at the Blue Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Webb and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Rev. George McKenzie conducting graveside service.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 To 8 PM. Thursday June 21, 2012. The family is at the home on Black Mountain Road, Toccoa, Georgia. Hunter Funeral Home is in Charge of arrangements.
