Tina Sharlene English Pruitt

Tina Sharlene English Pruitt passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, with her loving family and friends by her side.

She was born on October 11, 1955, to Lois English and the late Kenneth English. Tina attended Rabun County High School and retired from Parker Oil Company. She attended Mulberry United Methodist Church.

Tina was as tough as they come, but when she loved you, she loved hard. She loved supporting her grandchildren at sporting events and rodeos, and she was always the one who made sure her family was cared for. She loved being at the dirt track on Saturday nights cheering on her husband and brothers as their #1 fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Pruitt; her father, Kenneth English; her son, Jason Kilby; and her siblings, Wanda English, Wesley English, and Debbie Kilby.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Turpin (Brad) and Maegan Holt (Josh); grandchildren: Brady Turpin, Will Turpin (Morgan), SarahBeth Holt, Rhyne Holt, and EmmaLee Holt; her mother, Lois English; brothers, Doug English (Lita) and Melvin English (Kim); her faithful companion, Hoyt Allen “Roonie” Thomas; mother-in-law, Lynda Pruitt; brother-in-law, Matt Pruitt (Amy); and Jake and Luke Parker who she thought of as her own children. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Susan German officiating. Interment will follow in McCurry Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the service hour on Friday, at the funeral home.
