Tommy Richard Brown

Tommy Richard Brown, 80, of Rabun County, Georgia, entered his heavenly home on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Born on June 9, 1944, in Griffin, Georgia, Tommy was a beloved father and Pawpaw, and a Vietnam War Veteran honorably discharged from the US Army. Tommy enjoyed being in nature whether it was hunting, fishing, or camping. He also enjoyed taking adventurous vacations, woodworking, and artistic designs. He will be remembered most for his deep-rooted faith in the Lord, sense of humor, unique quirks, and his compassion.

Although Tom’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to live on in all who knew him. May we carry forth his legacy in all we do and count his memory as a blessing.

Tommy is survived by his two children, Timothy “Tim” Brown of Lakemont, GA and Charla Dymerski (David) of Habersham County, GA; two grandchildren, Steven Brown (Sarah) of Lakemont, GA and McKayla Caldwell (Logan) of Hall County, GA; two great-grandchildren, Bennett Caldwell and Weston Brown; a sister, Nancy Maddox (Tony); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Terry Brown; grandson, Jacob Matthew Brown; his wife, Sylvia “Ann” Brown; two brothers, Wilton Brown and Milton Brown; and his parents, Melvin and Alice Brown.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Delbert McCall and Rev. Jim Carver officiating. Full military honors will be provided.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the service hour on Monday at Camp Creek Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia in Clayton.
