Viola Burrell Jenkins , 85 , of Dillard , Ga. died Saturday night September 27 ,2008
Born in Rabun County , Ga. October 20 , 1922 , She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt L. Burrell and Clyde Shope Burrell . She was a Home maker and a member of Newman Chapel Baptist Church .
She was the widow of Elcaney Jenkins ,and was preceded in death by Two children , Three Grandchildren and by one sister. Surviving her are Three Sons and Two Daughter –in –laws Gordon and Barbara Jenkins of Dillard , Ga . Calvin and Marilyn Jenkins of Lakemont , Ga . and Bobby Jenkins of Dillard , Ga.and one daughter Elizabeth Jenkins Bingham of Dillard ,Ga. and Two Brothers Oneal Burrell of Dillard , Ga. and R.L. Burrell of Franklin , North Carolina and a sister Willie Kate McDowell of Otto, North Carolina.and by , 14 Grandchildren , 16 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchildren also survive .
Funeral Services will be at Two O’clock P.M. Tuesday September 30 , 2008 at the Newman Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Alton Dendy officiating . Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at One O’clock PM Tuesday to lie in state .
The Body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Monday night September 29 , 2008 . The family is at the home of her son and daughter –in-law ,Gordon and Barbara Jenkins Colony Lane Dillard ,Ga.
The Family ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Valley Fire Department P.O. Box 272 , Dillard , Ga. 30537.
