Virgie Lea Moore

Virgie Lea Moore, age 91, of Rabun Gap, Georgia, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

Virgie was born July 25, 1931 in Pontiac, Michigan, a daughter of Joseph and Doris Faulk. She married the love of her life, Paul Allen Moore. Virgie had titled herself the Duchess of Wolffork. She loved to cook, can, garden and quilt, making many quilts throughout her life.

She is survived by three children, David A. Moore (Nancy) of WV, Carol Paulson (Keith Sutton) of Franklin, and Elaine Millen (Dan) of MI; three sisters, Gaynelle Jones, Jaunita Linton, and Delores Winters and several nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by one son, Wayne Charles Moore.

Visitation will be at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 12:30 - 1:30 PM.

Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023, 2:30 PM at Wolffork Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Burrell officiating. Burial will follow at Wolffork Baptist Church Cemetery in Rabun Gap.
