Vivian H. Davis

Vivian H. Davis, age 82, of Dillard, Georgia, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, May 14th, 2023.

Vivian was born December 29th, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Carl S. Henry and Burel Moore Henry. She was married to Jack Davis for over 60 years. Vivian served as postmaster for Dillard, Georgia for over 25 years. She was a faithful member of Newman's Chapel Baptist Church for over 55 years and served many years as Sunday school teacher and church treasurer.


She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family and loved ones. She is survived by her husband, Jack Davis; children, Sylvia D. Harmon (John) of Gainesville, GA and Dale Davis of Edenton, NC; one grandson, Andrew D. Harmon of Gainesville, GA; brother, Vernon Henry of Clayton, GA and sisters Jerry Hooper of Cornelia, GA and Jane Bingham (Eddie) of Clayton, GA and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

She is preceded in death by sisters, Sylvia Henry and Berma Poole, and brother, Ellis Henry.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at Newman Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Ledford officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Newman Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 60 Mulberry Rd. Otto, NC 28763.
