Wallie West

Wallie Ann Wilbanks West, 84, of Buford, GA, formerly of Rabun County, GA, died Sunday June 17, 2018 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, GA.

Born in Rabun County September 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Artemus S. Willbanks and Oma McCrackin Wilbanks. She had lived the greater time of her life in Gillsville, GA. She had retired from Macy’s in retail service. She was of the baptist faith.

Wallie was preceded in death by her parents, Artemus and Oma Wilbanks and a son, Pete Crowe and is survived by a son, Leon Lovell of Gillsville, GA, by three daughters, Dianne Biddy (Johnny) of Burford, GA, Flora Crowe of Gillsville, GA, and Debbie Rhodes of LaGrange, GA, and by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Thursday June 21, 2018 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Brogdon officiating. Burial will be in the Wiley Presbyterian Cemetery in Wiley, GA.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home with visitation being Wednesday June 20, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The family is at their respective residences.
