Wendell Jackson Shirley

Wendell Jackson Shirley, age 54, of Lakemont, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026.

He was born on November 19, 1971, and was the son of Faye Lovell Shirley and the late Wendell H. Shirley.

Wendell loved riding the roads of Lakemont and enjoyed spending time in nature, especially while fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Faye Lovell Shirley; sisters, Voncyle Towe (Jimmy) and Teresa Smith (Shane); nephews, Teddy Towe, James Dills (Bonnie), and Sean Smith (Makayla); and great-nieces and great-nephews, Jaycee Dills, Gunner Dills, Kreedance Smith, Kambria Smith, and Tate Smith.

In addition to his father he was preceded by one sister, Cynthia Shirley.
