William Elliott

September 15, 1931 — April 4, 2019

A memorial service for William “Bill” Brooks Elliott of Dillard, Georgia will be held
at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 14 at Clayton Presbyterian Church (150 North Church
Street, Clayton, GA 30525) with Fred DiMaio officiating.

Mr. Elliott, age 87, passed away on April 4, 2019. He was preceded in death by his
parents, George Robert Elliott, Sr. and Frances Norrell Elliott, son LeRoy Clark
Elliott, one brother and two sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janice Obert Elliott, daughters Chris
Elliott Harkins (Jimmy), Carrye Elliott Floyd (Danny), Amy Elliott Cook (David), son
Matthew Brooks Elliott (Chad Browning), eight grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, sister-in-law Ann Obert Cummings, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Elliott was an elder in the Presbyterian Church and an active member of
Clayton Presbyterian Church.

He served five generations in his distinguished career as a pharmacist. His
pharmacy career spanned 64 years, and he was one of the oldest and longestlicensed pharmacists in Georgia, retiring at age 86. His first job was at Woodland
Pharmacy in Atlanta, at age 10, where he started out as a delivery boy. He
remained there through pharmacy school and began his pharmacy career there,
eventually purchasing the business and the building.

He was loved by all who knew him.
