Hunter Funeral Home, nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Clayton, Georgia, was founded by R.E. Cannon in 1929. Lloyd and Helen Hunter acquired it in 1969, and changed the name from Cannon to Hunter Funeral Home in 1974. Lloyd Hunter has been the county coroner of Rabun County since 1956, a record in the state of Georgia.
